Sand for Paver Base in Midland, MI

What sand goes under pavers?
Build a compacted base of crushed limestone (such as Class II or 21AA), then a 1" leveling layer of mason sand or concrete sand for bedding. Mason sand screeds smooth and locks the pavers in place.
How much base and sand do I need?
